I was in touch with Fingal County Council recently to establish what the arrangement are for grass cutting and tree maintenance across the County.

• The schedule for grass cutting is that during the growing season it is cut every 3 to 4 weeks.
• Weeds are sprayed once a year.
• Trees are not trimmed as a matter of course, a full inspection of trees is carried out every 5 years and trees that  require work are put on a schedule and attended to in order of priority.
• When necessary  trees with low growing branches are crown lifted.
