Consultation Process on Proposed Water Charges

On 17th April the Commission for Energy Regulation published three Consultation Papers related to water.
The three papers are detailed below and these can be found on the CER website or directly at the following link – http://www.cer.ie/document-detail/Water-Charges-Plan-and-Customer-Protection-Consultation-Phase-1/956 
Domestic Water Tariff Principles and Proposals – This paper covers Irish Water’s proposed structures and principles for the design of domestic water tariffs prior to the introduction of domestic water charges in October 2014. Comments on this Consultation Paper should be sent to Sarah Foley, available at watertariff@cer.ie, by 17:00 on Friday 16th of May 2014.Interim and Enduring Non-Domestic Water Tariff Proposals – This paper sets out Irish Water’s proposed plan for transitioning non-domestic water customers to an enduring tariff framework. Comments on this Consultation Paper should be sent to Anne-Marie McCague, available at nondomwatertariff@cer.ie, by 17:00 on Friday 16th of May 2014.

Consultation Paper on the Irish Water Customer Handbook – The Customer Handbook is published alongside the consultation paper and covers the proposed requirements for Irish Water in relation to the Codes of Practice, Customer Charters and Terms & Conditions it will have to establish for Domestic and Non-Domestic customers of water and wastewater services. Comments on this Consultation Paper should be sent to Mo Cloonan, available at watercustomers@cer.ie, by 17:00 on Friday 16th of May 2014.
